I have some exciting news: this year I am becoming an American citizen! After having lived in the U.S. for 8 years, I have decided to get an American passport – whooooo! After starting school in Brazil in October of last year, I found out that I would lose my permanent resident green card if I stayed abroad for longer than 6 months. By becoming a citizen, I can leave and come back whenever plus I’ll be able to vote. I’m thinking about throwing an all-American party to celebrate…apart from cheeseburgers, what else should I make? - Pati
