FOOD TALK / 4

Today I’m sharing a recipe for pão de queijo, that in Portuguese translates into cheesebread. The cheese is incorporated into the dough, which makes them light and fluffly. In Brazil, I would eat these every day, breakfast, lunch or afternoon snacks, anytime!

Ingredients
Servings: 10-15 units

1 1/4 cup of tapioca starch
1 egg
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 cup of canola oil
2 oz. of freshly grated parmesan cheese
half teaspoon of salt

Make it
Pre-heat the oven to 345 F. Blend ingredients together and pour the mixture into a small muffin pan that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Bake for 15-20 min. Serve fresh off the oven.

Oh my, these look scrumptious! I think I’ve eaten something very similar to these once at a restaurant. How interesting that the recipe calls for tapioca starch. That photo is making me hungry!

I don’t think I’ve had pão de queijo but it looks so delicious!
