Summer is my favorite season, probably because in Brazil it is the only season there is. So I always get a little sad when September begins and I start seeing the first cold days of fall. Nothing against fall, but summery foods just keep my energy up. Today I am sharing with you an easy, end-of-summer drink. Get your blender ready.
You can use any milk you want. If you want to kick it up a notch, try it with coconut milk ice cream, hmmmm. This one was made with almond milk, which is turned out very creamy, yet light. If you are not familiar with other kinds of milk, this is a great way to start.
Ingredients
1/2 cup of ice
1 cup of diced cantaloupe
1/4 cup of almond milk
3-4 springs of spearmint
1/2 teaspoon of ginger or more to taste
Make it
Blend together all ingredients and drink while cold : )
Feel free to add with almond ice cream to make it a dessert or even replace the milk with ginger ale or vodka for a summer night party.

Oh my gosh! I love cantaloupe, but I’ve never thought of trying to do anything other than basically eating it raw. This is so fun!
Yum! This is on my “must make” list.
