A QUICK STOP

A couple of weeks ago, I went to Maryland, Virgina, Washington D.C. and Minnesota (all in one long weekend!) and I think the most memorable food experience I had in this trip was probably at Le Pain Quotidien in Alexandria, VA. It’s funny because at first I thought it was a small bakery but then I later found out that it is actually from Belgium and have many stores all over the world. I did really enjoy the intimate feel at their restaurant and their communal table was perfect for bringing people together. The best thing I got was probably this drink below. It was so refreshing! Who thought that watermelon with cucumber and mint could taste so good?

The photo below was a little awkward to take. We never actually think about this, but sometimes when taking pictures, photographers need to just ignore the awkwardness of the moment and go for it. This guy looked at me many times, wondering why on earth was I pointing the camera at him. Well, this is why!

Baked goods are my weakness. You could convince me to do anything in exchange for an almond cake…design you a website in exchange for free brownies? Sure!

What are some of your favorite favorite spots to eat?

Oh my goodness, what a place! You can’t really say ‘no’ in a place like that! And I am with you on the camera shyness.

Looks just delish! I experience similar pangs of awkwardness when trying to photograph cafes and bakeries. I’m often undecided as to whether or not I should/need to ask for permission for?!
    Love your typesetting too…
